It's all coming together...
Like putting a puzzle together...
making a home requires that pieces find the place they fit...
and sometimes those aren't the places we expected them to be.
A crocheted table runner, a beautiful gift from sister-in-law, becomes a valance...
It could not be any more beautiful on a table...and as a valance, the intricacies are greater appreciated.
The other runner, a gift as well, makes the corner cabinet more elegant...
The stitching is brilliant against the shade of the wood...
I am feeling very much like the crocheted table runner...needing to be held up to the light so the intricacies of ME could be seen...by ME...
The sunlight reveals.
How extraordinary it is.
God's blessings...not luck...not good fortune...
Blessings.
Our new life in this cottage....has breathed new life in me.
I am savoring the delightful surroundings....
tasting peace...
drinking joy...
I am nourished and satisfied.
In turn, I am productive, creative, inspired, loved.
The grandchildren feel this when they come to our home...
Sophia, Grammy's living baby doll...
Kyleigh, Grammy's tea party loving, doll house playing, girly-girl....
and Colin, Grammy's little cowboy...
They know this is a haven for play...blocks on the floor, train sets to build, games to be played, and lots of hugs and kisses. They can let their hair down, knowing all is right with the world. Peace resides here.
How grateful I am for this little Rose Water Cottage, and all it is teaching me to appreciate about life.
The important things...simple things...
Sitting in the middle of the floor...surrounded by little ones...
A wagon ride to the ice cream shoppe...
Rocking in the recliner with a little boy and his baby sister...
Listening to the whistle of the train rolling through town...
The sounds of birds singing in the mornings..
Looking out the kitchen window at 3 little bunnies playing freeze tag in the yard across the drive...
And once the pieces all fit in the puzzle...
their is great rejoicing...
at the completeness.
May you feel completeness in your life...
Joy and Peace
